Gaylord recently suffered catastrophic damage from an EF-3 tornado that had winds that reached up to 150 mph. SERVPRO was recently called upon to take care of a large afterhours commercial water loss. Pictured above are two of our hardworking project managers hooking up the desiccant dehumidifier. The water had not been shut off at this business and with the frigid temperatures in Northern Michigan, it resulted in pipes bursting and leaving 3 inches of standing water. Emergency water extraction services and dehumidification services were performed. 

Our SERVPRO of Bellaire, Kalkaska, Lake City & Grayling office ladies recently enjoyed a night out shopping for our Toys for Tots donation. Every year we look forward to being able to give back to the great communities that we service. This year we were able to donate $500 worth of toys to our community's youth.

SERVPRO of Bellaire, Kalkaska, Lake City & Grayling was recently called upon by a local Motel to handle damages caused by broken pipes in the crawlspace. SERVPRO was onsite within an hour to perform emergency mitigation services and set equipment to get the drying process started immediately. Pictured above is one of our DryMax dehumidifiers that blows warm air into the crawlspace to dry it out and also serves as a dehumidifier for the room above that is affected with high moisture levels. SERVPRO was recently called on by a public school after there was a water damage in the gymnasium. A faulty water pipe located at the top of the gym led to water intruding and further damaging the gym floor directly underneath. This is the aftermath of a large commercial fire at a local potato farm in Antrim County. Seven buildings at the facility including the packing, storing, and office facilities sustained considerable fire and smoke damage. A fire broke out in this apartment complex in Northern Michigan causing extensive fire, smoke, and soot damage throughout the complex. A foundation leak caused the gymnasium floor to experience dimensional distortion from acclimation failure which resulted in the floor raising and lifting. SERVPRO performed mitigation services and used desiccant dehumidifiers to force air under the floor in order to complete the drying process. In observance of October being Fire Awareness Month, we have played our part by teaming up with local fire departments. SERVPRO of Bellaire, Kalkaska, Lake City & Grayling has donated smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire safety materials to fire departments in our franchise territory. A violent storm hit this Northern Michigan school which caused the roof to be torn off. The roof being torn off caused large amounts of secondary damage that also caused the water pipes to break and flood the entire school. The library completely caved in, classrooms became waterlogged from flooding and much of the school’s equipment was destroyed.
